We are 15 minutes into the fifth period of the fifth game of the Stanley Cup Finals and I am running out of gas. Instead of dropping stitches on the anniversary gift I'm knitting while watching the game, I've mysteriously made 4 extra ones. How the hell did that happen? It's easy enough to fix and would probably be error free if not for this game.
If I had a hat, I'd tip it toward Pittsburgh's goalie. Damn, he is amazing. If he would only close his eyes for 2 seconds, maybe I could close mine for 6 hours.
ETA: It is 12:17 AM EST and we are entering the 6th period of playoff hockey. I have grabbed toothpicks from the kitchen in order to prop my eyelids open. And Don Cherry is either color blind, or gets dressed in the dark; I can't decide. I can't quite tell if his suit is the palest greenish grey pinstripe or what. I do see plainly that the bright red handkerchief and flower on his lapel clash with both the suit and tie and still, I'm mesmerized by it all.
ETA: I watched 2 back to back hockey games last night and went to bed exhausted. Let Don and Barry tell you all about it. I'm still tired and still trying to fix these extra 4 stitches I picked up. BTW, what do you think of this suit?

I can't believe they couldn't put it away last night,wow...what a game. I sure am tired this morning though...ciao
I'm with ya there Rositta. There wasn't any way I could go to bed thinking I'd miss the cup celebration. Perhaps Wednesday.
That was one of the greatest games that I have ever scene. After a very slugish first Twenty five minutes; the game took on a different look. The speed and control turned over to the red wings; outstanding hitting; goaltending. Disappointing to not win it home in game 5; I hope game six intensity level is the same as game 5;if so we will be in for a treat.
Go Wings
sleep deprived,

I'm with you bro. I hope the Pen's intensity level is somewhat lower and that Fleury is sleepy like you.
Predicition
Wings 3 pens 1
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I don't care what score the Wings win with as long as it's in regulation play on none of this silly triple OT!
