Believe It or Not

And this my friends is why I don't shop here.  I don't care how tempting the price cuts may be, the social conscience of this company is deplorable.  To me, this is despicable corporate behavior put in play by the worst company on the planet.  I realize to utter these words in print may have dire consequences, frankly, I don't give 2 s#!ts.  Freedom of speech and all that.  And yes, I have direct ancestors who fought for that right.  Shame on you Walmart.  I think your smiley face just sprouted the horns of the devil.

Yeh I saw that too, but that's not my only reason for not shopping there. The problem is though much deeper. Most insurance contracts, if not all have that little teeny weeny clause hidden away that says they can take their money back and most people don't read documents. And most people, well they just try to stretch their buck to buy more stuff. If they learned how to get along with less stuff it would be way better...ciao

I do no others have hidden clauses in their contracts but not every company has revenues of 400 billion dollars a year. I think Walmart could afford to look the other way on not only this, but probably for all employees in similar situations. Overall, their performance from a social perspective from health insurance, employee breaks, stepping on people who may speak out against them and management opportunities for women leaves a bad smell in the air.

I agree, we could all do with less stuff. Except yarn. We'll leave that out of the equation.

I have some experience with insurance companies and hidden meanings. I battled one of them for years to get disability benefits, I won in the end but only as we were heading into court did they come up with a reasonable settlement. I would have preferred the monthly payments but it was not to be...ciao

My husband has a t-shirt that says "Wal-Mart, Always Corporate Greed, Always." And it is so true. We have never and will never shop at Wal-Mart!
