I battled one of them for years to get disability benefits, I won in the end but only as we were heading into court did they come up with a reasonable settlement. I think Walmart could afford to look the other way on not only this, but probably for all employees in similar situations. Overall, their performance from a social perspective from health insurance, employee breaks, stepping on people who may speak out against them and management opportunities for women leaves a bad smell in the air. <BR/><BR/>I agree, we could all do with less stuff. Except yarn. The problem is though much deeper. Most insurance contracts, if not all have that little teeny weeny clause hidden away that says they can take their money back and most people don't read documents. And most people, well they just try to stretch their buck to buy more stuff.
