In The Spirit of Change...

Hark all ye nurses-especially new grads, I am giving away my critical care books. If you've a need to beef up your library, let me know, and I'll send them to a new home. Too bad for you I never bought the AACN Core Curriculum.

I'm starting to pack things up around here and find I no longer have a use for books like this. If you want them, I'm more than happy to give them to you at no charge. Like me, some of these are ever so slightly old, but all purchased within this decade. I'm sure they don't contain info regarding tight glycemic control and sepsis/severe sepsis, but they're still good. And hey, they're free. If nobody wants them, I'll give them to the library.

Email me at rudeek45ATgmailDOTcom-as usual, just substitute AT and Dot with symbols

Your choice in music leads me to believe that some of those appointments you had this week might have turned out well? Hoping so for your sake...ciao

Well I didn't think of the music in quite that way. I was thinking as in the books are free. Hmmm. Me thinks me subconscious was giving a shout out.

I'll have to tell my DIL...she is going to nursing school!

When I did transcription I bought all of these specialized word books (forgot the name, maybe Stedman's), and each one cost like 30 dollars I think. I had the whole series, ortho, general surgery, opthalmology, dermatology...etc...

When I retired I thought I saved them and I have looked high and low for them and can't find any of them!! I wish I had them to give away to somebody.

Sandy, they're good references. I'm happy to give them away and yes, they're not inexpensive so I'm pleased to help. They're just gathering dust here.

Tight glycemic control SOUNDS like it should be fun. Now it just makes me want to hide the glucometer in my patient's room for me and me alone:>)

I forgot to ask her and I hardly ever see her because she goes to school and works full time. I gotta remember to ask her.
