What?

What is it about this face that's calling me?  Is it a face so ugly only a mother could love it?  Personally, I think she is beautiful.  Maybe I should go meet her in person.  Maybe.

Here is what the website says about her:

Lady Godiva is a 8 month old, 46 lbs. Catahoula Leopard Female dog. She is a super sweet dog that has a ton of love to give. A mad, mad kisser! Very active, loves to run and play fetch.

Perfect.  She's a herding dog...

Trust your instincts! She's got a fabulous face and how can you pass up a mad mad kisser!

She looks just beautiful to me. If she tugs on your heartstrings there is a reason.

Catahoula's are very intelligent dogs. If they don't get enough stimulation they can get into a lot of trouble. Make sure you have the time to devote to her. I've only known one, but that was the reputation I've heard.

She is a great age for training and loving :)

Lovely dog. But...a word of caution. The words, "Maybe I should go meet her in person" need to be taken seriously.

Funny that a friend was just over last week and we were talking about dogs, and she told me her sister-in-law had a herding dog in the house that would nip everyone's butt until she herded them in the room she thought they should be in. I thought that was funny.
Spending some time with her should help with your decision. She looks pretty cute to me.

Some dogs need jobs, and if you don't give them some, they make their own---like tearing paper, or some such thing. I know. We have Winston, the Shepherd-Sheltie-Border Collie guy
with issues. Busy. Busy. Busy.

He is kinda cute though.....

Oh, what a sweetie. Probably does need a lot of exercise, though, especially at 8 months.

You always herd the ones you love.

Oh, Rudee, she's lovely. A herding dog? You'll need to get some sheep for her. Think of all that spinning potential.

After less than a moment's hesitation, we are on our way to meet this dog. I'm also going to look at a little baby shepherd/akita mix. Will update later. Now where have I put that crate?

Sillliyak-very funny herding joke.

Gosh, she is beautiful. Please adopt her. Please, please.

I think Pyzahn might make a good name!

Really, I'm thinking she's for you. I hope you have a very beautiful life together.

I'm eager to hear what transpires.

She's actually a gorgeous dog and if was to adopt one that would be just the kind I'd get...ciao

Well it's good we went to look because this dog is sick. Right now she's in foster care until she gets better, but she may be more dog than we can handle. My bet is she needs a farm life so that she can work her herding genes.

No other dogs in the shelter really lit a flame. We'll keep watching.

Sniff.

Oh....I love her face! So glad that you investigated before you adopted. Best to find out now....instead of after. Good luck on your hunt for the perfect doggie!!!!

I fell in love and got my hopes dashed--all in a nanosecond.
We actually picked our BoxerBoy and found out he had heartworm, cardiac arrested twice with the treatment, and they told us to chose another dog. We waited it out, he's here. All's well.
I hope it works out soon for you
(and the perfect dog!!) :>)

Oh poo. I'm sorry to hear she's sick. Hope she gets the care she needs.

But, it should be a match made in heaven, so your dog will find you sooner than you think.

Have you tried petfinder.com?
