Not a good night

to be a hospice nurse...

Mother Nature is putting on a spectacular light show so frightening that I had to sit in my car in the lot for 15 minutes before even braving the brief lull to run into the hospital.

Come on midnight!

QMM- it was rough out there, but I'm all done now until Monday. It's been storming off and on for the entire day.

I was thinking of you as I watched the weather reports of the storms. Glad you made it across the parking lot...sounds scary!

We've been having a lot of storms over the last couple of weeks, definitely not fun to be out in unless you happen to be 10 and 12 year old boys!

Rudee, what kind of light show? I hope you weren't too afraid...loud noises get to me...but combined with lightening...yikes! I hope all is calm now.

I looked at your map and saw that you have included the area where I grew up...18288 Middlebelt Road...on the way to Lower Huron Metro Park...about 20 miles north of Toleto.

Take care and keep knitting through the storm! <3

I too was thinking of you as I watched that big red blob heading your way. I was thinking of flooding and you stuck in the car, water getting higher.... Glad that didn't happen:))

Cynthia- we had the most spectacular cloud to cloud and cloud to ground lightening. Scary, but beautiful.

Glad you were safe :) - we are getting it today. So early in the season and more to come eh?

We don't get much lightening here. It is really scary when it's close. Hope the storm is passing over.

Glad you're safe. I had a storm like that Thursday night right when I got home. Took off my shoes and ran for the door leaving all the beach stuff in the car for later. Turned on the tv for a special weather report to hear 20 minutes of "it's raining, lots of wind, heavy lightning" repeated over and over.

I completely understand. It's been bogsville here. Torrents and torrents. I feel like I'm starting to sprout mildew on my person. But at least our lightning strikes have been distant.

I'll have to blog about the time our house got struck by lightening.

A most shocking experience! =:^J

Hoping you've been able to stay safe and dry.

Lots and lots of wind ad rain here, but the bulk of the thunder and lightening was south of us. Flooding in our barn and water in the basement.
