Murder in Detroit

With nothing better to do, I was reading the Detroit murder statistics, and so far, it would appear they're down a smidgen at 140 to date. Since we're half way through the year, I think the city may come in under 300 by year end as compared to 379 for last year.

However, in calculating their stats, the FBI missed one.

A beheading.

A particularly gruesome crime, in addition to the beheading, it would appear the victim, a hapless tape measure, was gutted. A witness, who happened upon the crime scene, told police that the suspect appeared to be cheerful, gloating and was pleased to show off his crime.

A BOLO (be on the lookout) has been issued for the suspect. He is tall with spindly legs and is said to have a rather large nose. He was last seen wearing a black coat with a rusty brown colored bow tie. Do not approach this dangerous criminal as he is considered armed with sharp claws and massive teeth. If you've seen this suspect, please notify the police.

You're making me scared of Detroit, with such fearsome criminals as that.

Ya know, Leo really doesn't look that mean. Are you sure he's not inviting in some friends when you're not looking?

Do you think it was gang-retlated?

Bwahahahaha...that was too cute! I needed that laugh. Dobbies are such incredible dogs that you can't stay mad at them.

Was the victim his own toy or one of your creations?

Have a great weekend. Stay cool, stay safe on your night calls.

Leo "It was the cat Mama, I swear. Oh, we don't have a cat? hmmmm.....okay well can you get one so I have someone to blame these things on. Please?"

I love your description of him. So sweet.

He looks totally innocent to me, lol

Oh no! Such a sensless crime, and obviously NO remorse. I fear he may be beyond rehabilitation!

ohhhh that sleek criminal...and he is a beauty too. YOu know, every time I see that rug in a photo I love it even more. Are you loving it more?

No more soft toys for him. Once they learn to pull it apart it becomes a challenge. And they are so proud of themselves. Very funny post.

Stephanie and DSBO, hmmmm. I hope he didn't have friends over. Frightening thought. Maybe it was a home invasion, but the fact that he spit the sheep's head out in my hand indicates a high degree of guilt.

Pam, that was my coveted sheep tape measure. Lucky for him it wasn't the black one. Those are rare. The company only makes one black for every 12 white sheep tape measure.

Sandy, it's growing on me. I do love the colors.

I agree with Stephanie, it's not Leo, it's his cronies, his gang, as it were. :)

Poor ole Leo is having a hard time. Such a gruesome description of the crime. Agree with distracted, maybe gang related? Give him a little room to make excuses. BTW I love the new header picture.

I think a stranger sneaked in and Leo caught him in the act...and saved what was left. Good dog.

There is no way a dog, as sweet and beautiful, as Leo could have done such a thing. I think you need to look at other leads.

Its a conspiracy! My two do the same...whoever invented the squeakers that go into soft toys has gotta be laughing all the way to the bank! My husband has made me promise not to buy any more soft toys.."they might get bezors!"...but damn they're hard to resist.
