My plan for an easy move is to let go of my idea that it will go without a hitch. It won't. It occurred to me that since my bags are packed, I could gas up the car and keep going. I know a great hiding spot in Virginia.
Ahhh. In a perfect world, the staff would be doing this grunt work. Since I AM the staff, chief cook and bottle washer, I'd better get busy. Here is a little Bette Midler to entertain you. Hope your day IS perfect:

Staff would be lovely.
Just flick your finger and yes madam what would you like me to do - just a dream really.
Will be sorted in a while and you will be on that verandah in that swing with a glass of wine.
ahhh I expect by the time I get back into town Thursday night, I'm going to read a post saying you are all settled and now you are relaxing!
And the staff would have to know where everything went without having to be told!
It will soon be over and you'll be able to enjoy your new home
I'd like a staff, one old enough to read my written instructions for the day.. Nah... She's already too capable of telling Gran, she really doesn't want to do something right now. Hope the move is going well!
Have a wonderful day! Love the song :-)
Hi Rudee,
Hope the move does go without a hitch! The last time I moved was in 1987, and I don't want to do it again anytime soon!
Have a great day, and think of all the good things that will happen once you're all settled in.
Hugs and blessings,
Renie
I don't think I've ever had a stress free move yet but I'm hoping for an easy one for you. Get those men of yours moving, he he...ciao
Ha, perfect day here for a move, but since I'm not the one moving, I hope it is in your neck of the woods too.
Help. I've fallen into a chair and can't get up. Send sled dogs immediately. Muscle would help too....Make sure they bring beer. And snacks.
Rudee
May your move go smoothly, Rudee...and may unexpected help arrive immediately!
I feel for ya Rudee. I detest moving, or anything that brings about stress. Loved the Bette clip. I forgot about her in that movie. She is one of my favs.
Grrrlfriend, you need minions and lots of them.
Hope the move goes smoothly and you get some hot pizza some dinner.
Hike, hike! The sled dogs are on the way. Too bad they're not reindeer. We might make it by May.
In all seriousness, I once called a boyscout troop to help a neighbor lady move from her house to a home. They were amazing. Not minions, but close.
