Foto Friday

Swing Time. I have a feeling there won't be much of this for a couple of weeks.

This is the back deck where a generous amount of firewood is stored beneath the deck. Too bad the fireplace is gas.

Here will be a job and a half: cleaning those windows, and if there is luck, getting them to open. The bubbly young teenager who lives next door told me there was a deck fire last year at this house, and there was extensive soot and smoke damage. Ah. That explains the color of the water when washing the walls. Yellow.

The landlord was kind enough to leave this for me. He must have known how much elbow grease would be required to spend on the windows and walls. He took pity on me and was really only thinking of our convenience.

wowser. don't suppose you can job this out to someone?

those floors are gorgeous, though, and so is that very inviting porch swing.

Clean windows? I've never heard of such nonsense. Swinging on the porch is a much better idea. Um, by the way, you have my dream house. What a beauty!!!

There's always, always time to swing. Little fire on the deck? A little BBQ too close to the house?? Very thoughtful of the landlord for the menus:))

Looking good Rudee! I don't do windows much anymore. The take out ordering was really nice of them. That is a time saver. All the wood flooring looks so beautiful. The swing looks the best so far. I always wanted a front porch swing. Take care!

Oh this is so beautiful and all the sunlight you have is fabulous!... Now, about those windows and the cleaning.... I'm with Brenda.. I'd hire someone.. well if I had the money.. How about your son?

What a lovely way to spend the evening, sat on the swing with a bottle of wine

Oh Rudee, what a beautiful house - all that sunlight and warm wooden flooring. The cooker, although disappointing, hopefully works. I gave up ceramic top convection when I moved from Norway, for an ancient coil ring beast that's 17yrs old. Sad, but it works though!

What a nice owner to leave you the menu book.

I love front porches and swings, this looks great as does the deck. From my end, watching all this, how exciting even if there is work to be done!

Oh heck I'd be worried someone would light that firewood stored out the back!

I never worry about the windows. In fact I dont worry that much about anything housework wise these days.

Love those floors.

Wood floors and a swing. You are in heaven, aren't you?

Wonderful place. You will love the hardwood floors. So easy to maintain; just mop with vinegar and water every so often with real floor cleaner twice a year.

Love the porch swing.

Porch swings are one of my favorite things. Others are hardwood floors, and lots of light. Enjoy!

laurie-I have 3 contractors bidding this job on Monday. I want the light to shine through those windows. It would be nice to see if I could get them open too.

FTM-uhm, I don't know why, but that's a balcony off the bathroom. Go figure.

Love the light coming in on those floors. And I agree with Kathleen! Hit the swing!
