Weather or Not

Not that I needed a reason to stay in today,  but I got one.  I hope it piles up high, but I hear we're only to get a couple of inches-not enough for Mr. Farmer to drag the snowblower out of storage.  I think if this was Texas, or Georgia, or Florida, two inches would be a disaster.  Here, that's a dusting.  I'm going to pretend it's a weather emergency bordering on disaster.  It's an excuse to stay in and not that I need one, I like to keep one handy.  I have worked late all week and I have paperwork to do-it's a mess really.  I have 2 entire admissions to chart in the computer (redundant work).  Last night, putting one foot in front of the other was all I could accomplish after this week.

The general plan is to stay home and knit.  This one's been calling my name for days.  Cables AND lace!  I stumbled on it and really, I'm smitten.  So far, I've not listened to the siren call-but I want to.  Isn't that cute?  I have the perfect yarn for it-and a cable needle.  I think it goes well with today's picture and frankly, it's been awhile since I've cast on for something new.  What do you think?  Should I cast on, or chart?

Darn! I am waiting for the snow blower movie. Also, where is your review of "White Christmas", or have you not seen it yet? People pay attention to your blog Rudee. Ha..no pressure, just an observation. Thanks for showing the page of your new project. I haven't wandered around the net yet to find the free patterns, but I know where some are thanks to your directing me to them.
A snowed in day sounds great. The hat is really cute!

Oh charting, charting for sure. That's what you should do today. (don't throw that at me!)

We don't get a lot of snow around here. Maybe a few days of it, but sometimes we don't have any snow at all. Once in a great while we might get a real bad one, but its usually all gone within two weeks.

Folks from the midwest and northeast, where it really snows, laugh at us because we make such a big deal out of it. They laugh until they go driving in it. We have a lot of hills. Some of our hills would be called mountains by those living in the plains. Yes, its not too bad driving on snow when the land is flat. Its another story when you toss in some hills. (In the outlying areas they have actual mountains to drive in.)

Of course, any problems that arise come from the other drivers who don't know how to do it. (I can't argue with that statement because its true a lot of the times.)

Looking at that picture, I say Cast On!!! You can always chart in the middle of the night when you can't sleep,
because you're feeling quilty, because you didn't chart.

love the pattern although the model looks a bit stiff. knit or chart??? as a fellow nurse, there is no question as to the correct priority--cast on of course.

You know Sue, I could kill two birds with the same stone if I knit from a chart. hahahahaha. I did do my charting before I did anything else. Come Monday it's hard to remember what I did Friday. I'll use the overtime to buy some yarn.
