Me and My Sweater

Don't faint-two posts in one day.

Thank God this is done. Have I told you how much I love this yarn? And finally, for Brenda's enjoyment, here I am in my sweater and showing off the other labor of love this year: my silver hair. That journey has been almost as long as the one I took with the sweater.

And if any of my relatives comment on how much I look like my mom in this picture, just remember, Christmas is coming and you don't want to find coal in your stocking.

Well if you look like your Mom, she was gorgeous! I am so jealous of your hair and beautiful skin. You really made a wise decision to just let your hair grow out, because the color looks silvery and blended. I would be so happy if mine would turn out like that. My gray is all on one side. I may get up my nerve one day to let it go just to see what happens. It would take a lot of patience. I remember when you decided to go for it and see what happened.
Your sweater looks better than any I have seen at any store. It was worth the effort you put in it!
Two happy endings, your hair photo with your finished sweater. Both stunning!

You are gorgeous Rudee! I'm so glad you posted a pic of yourself and your hair! It is so lovely on you. You give many of us confidence to try letting our hair grow out when we're so tired of paying the high prices for foils or hair dye.

And the sweather is so pretty!!!! I love-love-love the color. So soft and perfect on you!!!!

Hot momma!!!!!!

Rudee, I love the sweater and I admire that you can knit with that yarn. Silver hair, nothing nicer in my view. My Mom had silvery white hair and it was gorgeous...ciao

Thanks everyone. Every time I go into the hospital I used to work at, someone tells me how "mature" I look. It's sickening. I just keep telling myself what I save on hair color every 6 weeks could by me a European vacation a year-or 4 or 5 pregnant cows for Sister Jeanne. So what if I look mature. What the hell am I supposed to look like at 51?

Well since you obviously lied about having gorilla arms, I'm assuming you also lied about your real age. No way you look 51 yet.

Oh Great sweater!! I like it, but be careful if you have to bend over and pick up something off the floor. It looks like you could be empaled.

And aren't you the pretty one! But not to worry... I won't hold that against you. Much. (and how nice to see the house across the street all decked out in holiday cheer. Where's the snow.)

Thanks cc. I think. hahahaha. We've had bone chilling cold but little snow cc. I don't do much outdoor decorating, I leave that to Joanne. I always know which holiday is coming because she decorates for all of them.

That is gorgeous. It looks so expensive, well worth the effort.
