Talk is Cheap

Here is the latest correspondence from my buddy, the painter:

Rudee's comment:

One of your crew may have a hearing problem and
doesn't realize he shouts when he speaks. Please
ask your crew to take into consideration there may
be people who work the night shift who HAVE to
get a little sleep, but CAN'T.

Dear rudeek,

I'm so sorry. I know how aggravating this can be when you need to sleep.

We just finished a lengthy job on ******* in *******; that may be where you
are. Typically we are only on a location for a few days.

I will remind my crew members to keep it down in the morning.

Once again, so sorry.

Best Regards,

The filthy liar who promises to fix the problem AFTER the job is done.

I'd like to give this person my best regards in person.

Very cute. Is this really the response you got? This fellow has a sense of humor.

Gotta love it.

Forget about it being cheap, let's just hope it's gone!

You know, there may be a job in here for me. I could train people in good customer service techniques. From my experience, there is a great demand for such training.

There ya go, Rudee, problem solved. At least I hope so!

I agree with Pyzahn there is a big need for some folks to learn a little manners. I have one neighbor who mows early in the morning and one that mows late at night. Twice a week it is either too early or too d--- late. Blessings

A typical job lasts 2 days ugh? You wouldn't be complaining if it was just for 2 days. What ever happened to the no noise until 9 am or no phone calls before 9 am. We have noticed that none of our neighbors follow that rule.

Joanna, yes, that was his email. Of course his sign off was his real moniker, but I prefer to think of him as a filthy liar.

Gail, I'm loving that they're gone.

WT- I just have to look at their advertising signs now; the offenders appear to be gone for good.

Pyzahn, they were mannerless. Well, one of them was; the other never got a word in edgewise.

Renie- I'm thrilled they're out of here.

QMM-maybe Pyzahn can send your neighbors a little letter. Better yet, find out when they sleep and give it back to them in kind.

Brenda, there is no common courtesy anymore because people lack COMMON sense.

That is a lousy response, I hope their done now. Currently there are about four renovations going on in our immediate neighbourhood so the noise starts around 7 am. I briefly wake up and pop the earplugs in. Not much I can do about it. On the other hand, when we built our addition we also started work around 8 am and that job lasted about four months. Fortunately no one around here works night...ciao

You just crack mek up.

Look at the bright side - They are now DONE [which you wanted] and perhaps he will pass along your email [once again] and the next person won't suffer as you did.

I say win/win. Now you can get some sleep.

Can you email our HOA's law maintenance service for me? They are out here from 7 am until 5 pm/6 days a week - I have no idea what needs to be done with that amount of time, but I would love your input :D

Hey Rudee, I've passed on some blog awards and your name's on one of them. Stop by and pick it up if you care to. Have a great weekend. And I hope you get some sleep.
