A Poem. Sort of.

Rudee Bo Peep had lost her sheep
and didn't know where to find them.
Into the car they hopped,
drove to where they shopped,
so she could do some rectifying.

Bo Peep bought wool for spinning
at $26 dollars a pound.
She swore to her mate this was a steal
and ultimately, she made a good deal
and her bargaining powers were sound.

She went down the street to Rapunzel's,
lured by the sign that shouted YARN on the door.
She and her mate had a schism
when she picked up the Prism
and dropped more money in that store.

THE END

It rhymes...it's a poem. Love that wool for spinning. Can hardly wait to see it made into yarn.

Well, it is a poem. I like it. And if spinning and knitting keep you sane in an insane world, it's all well worth it, isn't it?

Actually with the pictures, it was more like a storybook. I will read it out loud to myself before bedtime.

p.s. You make a damn cute shepherdess.

I promise you all that I won't give up my day job to write poetry. I would give it up to knit.

the turquoise stuff is gorgeous.
i admire you for seeing this yarn and wool and being able not only to envision it as a useful garment, but then to make it so.

that makes you less a shepherdess, and more of a goddess.

Oh Rudee! You know better than to walk into a yarn shop. My yarn shop is next door to my favorite sandwich shop. I ordered a couple of sandwiches to go and just dropped by the yarn shop to say hello while waiting for the sandwiches. Yeah, right. Saw some yarn I just couldn't refuse.

I love your yarn and the wool for spinning. Both will make great projects.

Little Bo Peep never said it better. The yarn is very pretty and I am sure something creative will come from it. You are the fastest knitter I know.

I'm laughing so hard I'm going to wake my husband in the other end of the house! Love the photo of you! I see your humor in the little I can see of your face.
Love the yarn -- blue and gold
