Just thinking out loud

I have a diverse interest in music. I'm all over the place with my tastes and can't be pinned down to anyone genre.

This week, it's Al's turn.

While I'm not particularly drawn to gospel, I love the Reverend Al's gospel songs. He speaks to me:

help me and i'll help you

save my soul and i'll save some for you

i'll do my best to do what I can

to stand up and be a man

What the newer generations of singers and musicians don't know about music of the soul is a lot.

One comment on one of Al's youtube videos stated: that voice is a weapon.

Enough said.

I'm off to sing and dance as though no one is watching...

ohmygosh... Al, baby. Al Green. Listening to those videos put me right back in my youth. Sitting at the kitchen table, music up loud, no one else around.... just me and Al singing our blues as loud as possible. What a voice!

(I've decided not to comment about that plaid suit he wore in the last video.)

Ya I like that music too. Well Rudee you hit the nail on the head with the Moselle berry spoon. Did you just recognize it as Moselle? I had no idea what it was. Thanks a lot.

Yes, Al Green. I remember listening to him - a lot - when The world and I were younger. His songs just made sense to me. Thanks.

How's the blanket dilemma? I'm back from vacation; have fun on yours! If you're in my neck of the woods, give me a call.

Like you I love a wide variety of music and at a given time you wouldn't guess what I might be listening to. The only thing I cannot listen to is Rap. No matter the singers, I just don't like the rhythm or something.
