Out of Order!

I know I did something that wasn't on my schedule, but I needed to cross at least one finish line today. I chose the project with the phattest yarn and the biggest needles.

Here we have my version of the Robin's Egg Blue Hat. It's not very blue, is it? No indeed. It's handspun. Mountain Colors Targhee Top. You're not allowed to ask the colorway, because I wouldn't have a clue. Usually, I label the skein when I'm done spinning, but I must have forget to do this one. It's very possible that this color is Northern Lights. That makes it perfect.

Details: I cast on this morning and used a size 8 needle to do the seed stitch band. I finished the band waiting to see the head shrinker. While knitting, I hoped she didn't shrink my head too much, because I didn't want to have to auction off another hat. It's still cold here and believe it or not, this is the first hat I've knit for myself this year. When I finished the band, I switched to US size 10 double points and from that point, it was about another hour of knitting until done. I love it. It fits perfectly, and I've finally finished at least one of my projects.

The shawl is still in time out.

I hope I don't lose points for the hat hair.

Feels great to complete something doesn't it. Very pretty hat. I have had it with this freezing weather...as I am sure you are also. Just a couple more months, though!

Love the hat; it must feel even better to have made the hat from spinning to knitting. I hope this therapist was better than the last one. I've said it before, mine saved my life.

That is so gorgeous. You really do incredible work Rudee, really.

I wish I could hang out with you and learn how - I just know you could teach me. :D

You should be proud of yourself for a hat that was taken from the beginning all the way through the end. Now put it on and take a pic' for us :D please?

Oh I think you are beautiful and the hat looks perfect. Wow I wish I could do that. I crocheted myself a warm winter hat with the baby yarn from my blanket but I didn't use a pattern and it is a little lumpy looking. I am wearing it but it still looks like a bonnet. Hope your Tx is going good. blessings

Your hat is fantastic and I love the colors. You are so pretty and it is nice to have a face to put with your name and blog.

I am starting therapy tomorrow. I need a tune up. I am glad that you have a good one to share your thoughts with.

All of a sudden I am having the strangest folks join my following. I am wondering what is goin on with that? Any advice would be appreciated.

Have a great day and stay warm.

Ah yes, hat head... the bane of our existence here in the north. I try so hard not to wear hats even if it means freezing, I'm vain, did you know? I love the hat though and the colors are very northern lights...ciao
