Honestly?

With this dog's proclivity for mooching, one might think he is never fed.

Our dogs know better than to beg - they are trained to stay on the carpet when we eat [our kitchen has hardwood] but Leo totally looks just like Scooby when he wants some loving.

The 25 lb head in the lap, and the eyes scream "Love me. Love me now."

Sorry, but I can't eat when a dog is staring me down. It just wigs me out. That is a huge nope.

Look at him...skin and bones. Pitiful!! :>)
Much like my Brutus when I'm making a sandwich--the incredible shrinking machine.

Typical dog. Act like they never get fed.

He's gorgeous!

My last cat is exactly the same now. He never used to do it, our eldest cat did. When she died he took up her role. She must have told him to give us no peace!

Love Leo. Noted your comment on my SS about Kate the mule that helped deliver the mail. HH and I went to Hyden, Kentucky to visit the Mary Breckenridge Frontier Nursing Service a few years ago. We visited the site of the original location which is on the National Registry now. The barn where the horses were kept and the saddle bags all packed and ready to go was so interesting. The Frontier Nursing Service and School of Midwifery, of course, is still there. They show a video of the nurses on their horse crossing streams and hills and hollers. Loved it.
