Traditions worth keeping

Today was full moon movie weekend and not wanting to break with tradition, the plans were squeezed in at the last minute for tonight. An Italian dinner at the little bistro down the street from the theatre, and then the movie. What to see? That was the question, for it seemed like nothing good was playing. After some deliberation, we decided on "The Lincoln Lawyer".

Fully prepared to see a completely sappy Matthew McConaughey movie, we were more than satisfied with our choice. It wasn't mawkish at all. It was a sophisticated story full twists and surprises like The Sting.

When we came out of the theatre, it was storming and raining cats and dogs. I'm not going to spoil my night by going downstairs to see how the basement fared. I'll look in the morning.

So a full moon means a movie? Schweet. :)

Love the trailer. We have two movie tickets we have to use and this may be our pick. Love a lot of the cast, especially M.M. and John Leguizamo.

The full moon brought me some great luck for once.

I haven't been to a movie theater in almost a decade.

Somehow I missed the full moon/movie memo. I'm glad you managed to keep the tradition. I'll look for this movie this summer. That's when we catch up on our movies via DVD. Can't go to theaters - they make me crazy.

I saw the book was pretty heavily advertised. I'm glad the movie was good.

Sounds like a good night Ruth.

Last time I was at the flicks was with the grandchildren to see Harry Potter. The last Harry Potter will probably be the next time I go. Husband's days of picture going have been over for years. He always falls asleep. He did when we were courting too. Should have known shouldn't I!

Oh...I have to see that movie. I have read most of Micheal Connelly's books. I missed the big sun and moon. Our weather was too cloudy and rainy.
