Profound

Not me. At least I'm not feeling that way today. I'm all snuggled up, knitting and periodically spinning. I'm striving to make the yarn to knit the Deep in the Forest Mittens. On the wheel right now, I have a beautiful charcoal colored alpaca I purchased at the fiber festival that's spinning up beautifully. In a bag next to the wheel is a cream colored alpaca I bought last week. Obviously, these won't get cast on until the yarn is ready. That may take awhile.

It's pouring rain and incredibly damp and cold tonight. It's supposed to turn to snow later, but hopefully, we won't get much. Since it's raining cats and dogs, I can only say I'm glad I don't have to shovel this stuff. Lucky for me, I'm having one of those hospice nights we don't talk about. I don't want to break my streak. Suffice it to say, Silent Night is a wonderful way to describe a night, no matter the season.

Whatever you're up to, I hope you're cozy, warm and doing something that you love.

Have you heard these guys? If it weren't raining, I'd be walking up to Barnes and Noble to buy their new CD:

Alpaca.....nice!!!
Glad you're warm and cozy and doing what makes you happy!
I've never heard these priests before, but will see if I can create a Pandora.com station with them!
Is it just me, or does the one in the middle look like a cross between a young Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey?
Yeah, I figure it was just me. LOL

Sounds great to me! The knitting, spinning and the you tube singing. Carry on and have a relaxing time with it...you deserve it!

Wow, they look lovely. No, I haven't heard of the priests, but they did sound good. I'm still sick but getting lots of knitting time; almost finished the Bella mitten set. Down to the thumb on the second one. It's amazing how much knitting one can do when one can't sleep for the coughing!

I love that mitten pattern--can't wait to see yours.

Wow! Those mittens look challenging. I bet they will be very nice once you get that spinning done.

As for me, working on my final, then no school for several weeks. Then for winter break, all knitting all the time!!!

I meant the mittens looked lovely, not the priests. :)

Wow what amazing looking mittens. I wouldn't tackle a project like that right now, in fact I'm not getting much knitting done at all sigh... It rained here too last night. On the bright side, if it had been snow it would have been 20cm. I'd rather have the rain. Hope you had a quiet night...ciao

Those mittens are stunning! It's good to have some quieter times to get that serious relaxing done. You've earned it. Happy spinning! I've never heard of those priests before, either.
I have to agree with Kathleen about the Gene Hackman look-a-like.

The priests have wonderful voices. Haven't heard of them. I want to tell you if I had been told about the problem on my tongue 6 months ago I would have got my self to the specialist. I didn't worry for 6 months because they didn't tell me about it when they first noticed it. I was only told last week. I immediately went to the specialist.
I am so glad you are enjoy the project.
