Eke!

As I was charting on my busy workload tonight, the clock on the computer flipped from 12/22 to 12/23. OMG! I am so not ready for this week. I haven't shopped for food yet and still have some wrapping to do and what with work, felted slippers, pesky kidney stones and CT scans, I haven't had a minute to even think. It's all good though. The stone is gone--completely missing from my CT scan.

Whatever will I do with all that beer I bought?

C'mon now you know what to do with that beer give to your patients to keep them quiet. OOps I said the Q word. I am going to guess you are working nights like I am. I am here at work in the ER getting frustrated because people have the nerve to get sick during the holidays.

Santa Claus is coming - and you can't stop it - Drink the ber anyway and enjoy.

Hope you have a great Christmas and A Happy New year.

Well, you're all for planning and organizing your holiday meal ahead of time. Set the beer aside. Drink 1 hour before MLTL is supposed to come over. You'll feel better, er, better put aside a couple of Vicodins too...

Virginia, when I worked in the ICU, the though of giving my ETOH withdrawal patients what they needed always crossed my mind. Still, I wouldn't share my beer with them. ;-). Are you crazy for invoking the Q word? Maybe you're just tired. Don't work too hard.

Ruth--maybe I should leave a beer out for Santa. He's probably sick of milk and cookies.

Jeanette-I am beyond thankful this episode is behind me.

Quiltluver--I'm pitching those nasty vicodin. Awful drug. But the beer, you're right. I'll need that Friday.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Celebrate the passing of the stone with the beer. Maybe it will keep you from having any more. Love ya Rudee and Merry Christmas.

Well, I don't like beer, but I would toast to ya with it if I liked it. Merry Christmas Rudee and Ruddee's family! Give MLTL a giant hug from me!

QMM, you are sweet. Thank you. You have a blessed holiday.

Brenda, I bought a one way ticket for MLTL to visit you for the holidays. I told him all about you and not to be frightened by or critical of your hair color. He's bringing ham. I hope you like it! (Merry Christmas).

Beer as preventive meds sounds like agood plan. I hope you find some of that Q-time to enjoy it. Glad you're stone-free!

I know how you feel. Today is my day off, and I just finished seeing a patient, 3 phone calls re: said pt, and oodles of paperwork. Is hospice as bad as home health for the RNs?

Yea for no more stones!!! Save the beer for next week!

Haha...well maybe better send me some of that beer along with him. Make sure he knows my neighbors have some very overgrown trees hanging over our house. I will send him over there as soon as he comes.

Devon, it can be, but since I work the off shift and don't do case management, it's not so bad. Some nights are awful, but most are manageable. Come on over to the other side. The water is warm. Promise.

Brenda, it's a deal.

Since I spent a few days in the hospital last week, I know how relieved you are about the stone.

Have a merry Christmas, Rudee.
