Thinking of You

Today would have been my Dad's 88th birthday.  I received a beautiful photo montage from my brother to honor my Dad.  Nice job FTM, it's lovely.  It's a good thing he sent it, or with all I have going on, this day would have slipped by my radar.

In my mind, I can't believe I've lived so long without him.  When I think back to the time he died, it seems like only yesterday, but was in fact, the summer of 2002.  Where has all the time gone?  I wrote a long post about my dad last year so I won't repeat it, but you can read it here if you like.

I'm thinking about you today Dad.  Miss you.

He was one year younger than my Dad. My Dad died almost 10 years ago. The little child in the picture must be your brother?

Rudee, What a wonderful tribute to your dad. I love your dad from your words. My dad was a bit older than yours I think. He'd have turned 90 in February. I really do think our parents' generation was the greatest. Or maybe we were just lucky? Thanks for sharing your dad with us today

What a lovely photo.
I can't believe my mum has been dead 10 years this year, so much has happened in that time

"Across the morning sky,
All the bird are leaving,
Ah, how can they know it's time for them to go?
Before the winter fire,
We'll still be dreaming.
I do not count the time

Who knows where the time goes?"-Judy Collins

Like your tribute to your Dad. My Dad would have been 79 so not that different to yours. He died 11 years ago and it's hard to believe how time passes.

Like Betty says they were a very special generation and we owe a lot to them. In our case our freedom.

It's nice to have had a Dad who is remembered with so much love. He looks happy in the picture holding his child.

Hugs,

Renie

That's sweet. I know how you must fee. My dad would have been 82 on April 2nd. He died last November.
Here's to all our missing fathers!
