Ok, Ok...

I'm going to stop watching the news.  We swears it, Precious.  I just have to say one thing before I swear off  this obsession of watching TV news:  Any man who collects panties as a trinket or trophy after committing a heinous murder or assault is not a good boy.  Nor should his behavior come as a surprise to those who know him, for I'm quite certain, he was a sick soul way back before he committed his first crime.  He may have also been a liar, a bed wetter, an arsonist and cruel to children (or animals) long before he began to hunt in earnest.  These are the some of the behaviors that according to profilers, serial killers have in common.  These news stations need to stop saying he did these despicable acts to pay off gambling debts.  He did them to satisfy his own dark needs.

I need to find another outlet for my boredom.  Reading too much of  John Douglas and watching the news doesn't help me sleep at night.

Now where have I put my copy of Goodnight Moon?

That is a interesting study, which raises a lot of questions in my mind. But I didn't notice, if child abuse was on the list(?), because I think that could play a huge role in damaging the child's mind, and making the child go into a
fantasy land.

Thank you Debra. I seem to remember there was a telephone
And a red balloon
And a picture of-the cow jumping over the moon.

I read that book 800,000 times to my children. It was my son's favorite. My daughter's was Are You My Mother?

This is what I need to do again at night.

And when you're done with that one, pick up The Runaway Bunny.

But he's such a goooooood boy! Yeah, right, and so was Ted Bundy.

Flydragon, I still can't look at a clown because of John Wayne Gacy.

Oh, I always loved Good Night Moon. So did my kids.

Every time I watch the news, I get scared! There are just so many sicko's out there these days.

It's almost pre ordained that relatives and friends of an alleged perp will say he/she was a good person, what else can they say. I'm swearing off news too for a while, especially CNN, I'm tired of their Canada bashing...ciao

Bed wetting indicates a potential serial killer?!? (00) I think I've got several "potentials" in my extended family. Grandkids. (00)

I hear ya about taking a break from the news. Its so hyped up.

CC-better sleep with one of those eyes open....

Just kidding. I think this is one of the traits these killers share and are found in conjunction with many other traits found in surveys. In John Douglass' earlier books, he wrote about the trinity of traits found in serial killers:
bed wetting, arson and cruelty to animals.

Renie, I get scared too but can't help myself. Lately I've been trying to watch movies while I knit. Albeit, lately is today and last night after work.

Give me a Break Rudee! I know for a fact that you watched and loved Milky the Clown.

You won't admit it, but you were probably a follower of Bozo as well.

Great post. This guy was plain evil. Thought he was better than Sex workers. I feel for his fiance'. Hard to swear off the news though. My brother and I don't talk often but talked the other day. The BTK serial killer had been on American Justice the day before, we both spoke at the same time, telling each other we had to turn it off - Worse than looking at the Night Stalker - whom I feared in person in Southern CA during the mid 80's... Thanks

Yes the news does get rather depressing. I get rather sick of listening to reporters tell us about the doom and gloom of the economy. News the them: we already know!
