A little sweetness for a change.

Leo and I had a little visitor today and while I was worried how my big boy would behave, I needn't have bothered. He was the perfect gentleman.

Meet Rylan...up close and personal. Today was her two week birthday which was four weeks ahead of schedule. As a blessed reprieve for her mom--who is still recuperating--she sleeps an extraordinary amount of time. She's such a considerate little bundle of joy.

As soon as Rylan left, I cast on a little Easter hat for her. Since she is so tiny, I was able to complete it while Sara and I watched a movie. Turns out, you can whip up a preemie hat in no time at all-- even one that's knit with three rows of Tutu yarn.

And yes, that's me still in my jammies at 2 in the afternoon. We all enjoyed our lazy day.

Leo, the Gentle Giant! Makes you realise how big he is next to her. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon

oh she's gorgeous!
It's only in the photo of you holding her that you realise how teeny tiny she is!
My 2nd daughter was 4 weeks early, and tiny, now she's 5' 10"!

What a wonderful treasure to hold, a little princess you have there.

I knew Leo would be good.

Leo looks like he likes her. She doesn't look like a preemie to me. Very adorable with all that hair! Can't wait to see her in her hat.

Brenda, she is so teeny tiny. She's 4 weeks preterm so nothing really fits yet. Because they were expecting a big baby, they didn't really plan well with newborn size clothes. She lost a little over a pound after birth, but she's now gaining weight so that's good.

That hat is absolutely adorable.

What a cutie! And I LOVE the hat - I want one! Of course it would need to be a bit bigger :)

Dear Bug...I made the hat smaller than the pattern for this baby. I'm sure I could make it bigger for you.

Easter hat just puts it way over the top!

-Mimi- I was 4 weeks early and am also 5' 10". However, in my family, that makes me the short one. Little brother is 6'5", Mom is 6', so as you see . . . I stayed scrawny, puny and have lots of adult pictures of myself tossed over various brothers shoulders.
