I was hoping to go to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival this weekend. It's held the first full weekend in May, and this year, it falls on Mother's Day weekend. Though this would not ordinarily hold me back, Stinkerbell is quite sick with some sort of viral pollution and the thought of being so far away from her doesn't sit well. So today we'll go to the doctor and take a few pictures to be certain it's not worse than I think it is.
Neil Young was spectacular. I've seen a lot of aging rockers in the past few years, and this man's unique voice is still as special today as it was 40 years ago. He was solo--not necessarily unplugged--and played an array of music from throughout his career. I thought several of his song's from last year's release, Le Noise, were spectacular, and moved me emotionally. I got chills listening to his song, Love and War. You can listen to the HD version here on YouTube. While there, listen to Walk With Me. The man is a genius with a guitar, but more than that, he's a very moving poet. A solo act is the perfect venue to demonstrate his writing and musical skills.
If you have the opportunity, don't miss this concert. It was totally worth the price of admission.

Ya rah, rah Neil Young. I will not be going to his concert, can't tolerate crowds any more but will pull up the music and listen from here. Happy mother's day dear Rudee.

Staycations are good. MSW would be better, but you have to take care of things.
I like Neil Young too.
I am so glad the concert exceeded your expectations. There'll be another MSW. Hope all goes well with your daughter.
I hope Rachel gets better. I like Neil Young...he is very poetic and I love that style of music. Happy Mother's Day if I don't talk to you before then.
I guess it's appropriate that you have to stay home & be a mom on mother's day. But I'm sorry you'll miss the festival.
I have to admit that Neil Young is before my time, sort of - but in any case back in the day I listened to Amy Grant & Kenny Rogers.
I'm with Peggy- the crowds at concerts these days are a little too much for me to handle. I had no idea he was on tour, though? Enjoy your Mother's Day with a nice Staycation! :)

Glad the concert was great.
Hope Rachael gets better soon .
Have a good mothers day. We are spreading it over a week I am catching up with my Mum on wednesday next week as I am being a nurse on the Sunday and Saturday evening shift daughter is doing a night shift on the Friday and son will be away. Mum will see her great grand babies on Thursday. It gets to be quite a juggle to sort our immediate family out - 3 shift workers and 2 work away from home and 2 babies and 2 old people.
I hope you get some relaxation in.
So glad you had a great time at the concert and staycations can be good. Hope Rachel feels better soon.
Glad you enjoyed the concert; hope Rachel gets well fast. I'm missing MS&W too, with Steve still out of work, but it's probably just as well as it's been pretty hectic for me, especially with my youngest graduating college next weekend, so I'm not too disappointed to miss it. There's always next year, eh?
