Or, it's a decorative feature and gives people in the house something to talk about.
Or, as Grandma said, "idle hands are the devil's workshop."
Or, it's cheaper than a therapist. And when a session is done, I have something to show for it besides tear soaked tissues and an empty bank account.
Or, it's one step closer to the sheep farm.
Whatever the excuse, I can now say it's mine. I took the plunge and bought the Schacht Ladybug after playing with a Louet, an Ashford Kiwi and a Schacht Matchless. I love the Fred Flintstone foot-like treadles. Love. It.

you lucky girl, enjoy every minute with it
I have to tell you--from the first picture I hadn't a clue what this was, but now that I do, I think I understand your excitment. It's kind of the way I feel if I buy a stainless pot, I guess. (Or more likely, an old book.)
Enjoy - and to heck with the cost!

That is neat! Congrats! Hey, is it a good workout for your legs too? [I have never seen one like this and was wondering - multipurpose?] :)
Enjoy.
She's gorgeous!! Best looking yarn thingy I've ever seen. It has therapy written all over it.
CC said it so well! Congrats!
So the ladybug was an omen!
It's beautiful! I love it! I wish I knew what it does and how it works!
A stationary bike AND you get something pretty to boot!
Have fun.
I saw one of those in a catalog---$500????? You are crazy! But you're right, it's only money and you can't take it with you so you may as well enjoy it!
It's beautiful. Enjoy!
I am looking forward to seeing your first project. Are you taking hints for xmas gifts?
Very very nice, and it looks like you've been busy too...ciao
That yarn is looking good! Welcome to the world of fiber addiction. I just spent the day at our local Fiber Festival and will return tomorrow. Took some great classes and bought lots of lovely roving.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this board is filthy with enablers. Oh, and Rose? It came down to jumping on a plane to go see my sister in Virginia, or this. I chose this-it was cheaper than a last minute ticket, but not as nice as a weekend in the mountains. Come Tuesday though, I'll still have this to show for my staycation.
Wow -- I Love it! I know you will put it to work. TFS
Letting everyone know I make blog buttons for $5 and $10 if you are every looking for one.
I felt the same way when i bought my rug hooking frame. Wahoo! Enjoy...
You had me at the Fred Flintsone footboards. Irresistible:>)
Reading your blog is so inspiring I am regretting not bringing my loom back to the island with me.
As much as I love my dear sister and miss her so much, I think you made the best long term decision :)
Wow, great rationale...and true too. Glad you made the plunge to commit to your new project! Love to you. <3
Enjoy it.
Nice equipment you got there!
"I am an enabler" and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
