First, the news on Patient # 2, Leo, isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Ten days of antibiotics should take care of his infection. The vet doesn't think it's the worst case scenario & I won't question her expertise. Frankly, I don't have the energy, so we'll just wait and see what happens with his neck.
The news for Patient # 1, MLTL, is not as rosy. He has a malignant mass in his transverse colon and a polyp the size of two small eggs near the lower part of his colon that may be malignant. Coupled with blood work that indicates a lurking threat, overwhelming fatigue and significant weight loss, and truly significant comorbidities, I'm not so positive about his outcome. Well, I take that back...I am pretty sure what his outcome will be. How we get there is the big question and we'll meet with the surgeon Tuesday afternoon to start that journey.
Hell, it seems it never rains but pours around here.
Goddamned cancer.

Yes cancer sucks. My DIL's thyroid cancer is back too. Now in the throat, lung and ovary. Somehow I know you won't pack up and run. You will face it stoically for your families sake. Good luck.
So sorry sweetie. Good thoughts to you.
Oh, I am so sorry. Will be thinking of you and your husband during this difficult time
Sending healing prayers and light to you......hugs Birgit
Cancer sucks indeed. It seems like I know far too many people lately who have had run-ins with it, most successfully (fortunately), a few not (sadly).
I am sorry to hear about MLTL. I know you will do everything possible to help.
I hope Leo will be better soon. Dobies have a lot of problems.
Praying for healing for both of your patients. I think the outlook is better for one than the other. We will pray for MLTL and pretend you didn't say all those wonderful, complimentary things about him. Just kidding, I understand.

The Our Lady of Guadelupe candle on the kitchen table is lighted for you. She is a busy, busy lady.
You and your family are in my prayers.
I wish you all - Peace.
I am glad that Leo is okay. I'm sorry about the diagnosis for MLTL. I didn't see that coming. I thought it was a GI bleed that was undetected. Love ya. You family is in my thoughts.

Hope Leo's progress continues well. Meanwhile knit as much as you can it's such good therapy.
I'm glad Leo is doing better than expected, but I'm sorry for you and your family about your father-in-law. Best of luck with everything on your plate.
Glad looks like Leo is going to be OK.
