Poor Leo hurt the pad of his 4th toe somehow. He won't put any pressure on it and what looks like an abscess is draining brownish gunk. He was fine when I put him in his crate yesterday evening, but when I walked in the door last night, the first thing he had to show me was his sore paw.
On the good side:
He has adapted to walking, running and stalking Isaac on 3 legs.
He has gotten a few extra cookies for his most excellent demonstration of a pathetically sad dog.
He is still wagging his tail
His nose is cold.
On the bad side:
We are $200 lighter in the pocket from the vet bill. $90 for an xray? Really? And $46 for 10 antibiotic capsules?
It's a good thing I'm wracking up all this overtime after all. I'm practicing my pathetic look.

Aww paw dog! Hope he, and your purse, get better soon.
Finley started limping this morning when I took him for a walk. He got a holly leave stuck in his pad. He was right as rain when I took it out.
Poor Leo. And poor Rudee. Glad you were so quick to have it attended. Those things can quickly go horribly wrong with disastrous results. Fingers (and paws) crossed here for a speedy recovery.
Awww poor thing!
My ::ahem:: I mean, Your poor Leo. Poor puppy [and poor - literally - Rudee] Sorry about the vet bill but NCMWoman is so right. You did good Momma. Hope he feels better soon. The pic' is so cute tho'. :D
Poor babies! You are both having it rough.
See there is a reason you have been worked into the ground!
poor Leo -
limping can make them look so tragic.
Hope the purse improves.

Sweet little Leo. I hope he heals quickly. I don't blame you for the extra cookies... it would be hard to resist those sad, soulful eyes!
Thank goodness Leo is getting good care. You are a good doggie mom.
Thanks for the info on the joint creme. I am willing to bet you do have your share of sore, achy joints. I am trying to wait a week between the making of the baskets, but continue to crochet every day. I keep hoping the using of the joints will soon lead to better mobility. May be too late, for this old lady. Could be just distracting the pain may be all I can hope for.LOL

Hope his paw gets healed up soon, poor baby.
But that's a hell of a bill!
